Become a Volunteer.
The
Missouri Junior Golf Tour is always looking for volunteers for its events. The MJGT prides itself on running professional
tournaments. These events would not be possible without the help and dedication of our volunteers.
Volunteering
duties start before the tournament begins.
Registration:
Ensure that the player
checks in and is given their proper tee time.
Give the participant the rules sheet and pin locations.
Starting:
A volunteer will be stationed at the first tee announce each player by stating their
hometown and home course, and by making sure that they have the correct playing procedures.
Ball Spotters:
Volunteers will be placed on specific holes to help spot balls for the participant. They will also
aide in the pace of play policy and and to ensure that the parents and spectators are also following the code of contact.
Scoring:
At every event, there will be an official scoring tent adjacent to the 18th green
to ensure that every player have returned their scorecards to be properly recorded. Signed cards are then forwarded
to Scoring Central.
Scoring Central:
Scoring Central volunteers are needed
to ensure that all scorecards are properly signed and recorded into the MJGT computer and posted on the manual scoreboard.
Food and Beverage:
The MJGT needs volunteers to make sure that all participants and spectators
are fed properly and to make sure that the grounds are kept clean.
Driving Range Coordinator:
Volunteers are needed to make sure that all players are given a bucket of balls and to make sure that the area
is kept in proper order.
